Aanestad Law Offers ‘My 3 Free’ to Celebrate Elder Law Month

May is “National Elder Law Month.”

Established in 1963, President John F. Kennedy declared the month of May to be Senior Citizens Month honoring those 65 years and older. President Jimmy Carter changed the name during his Presidency in 1980 to Older Americans Month. And today, we recognize the month of May as Elder Law Month.

But what is encompassed in Elder Law? And how can an elder law attorney assist older Americans? Here is a brief list of some of the major issues that an elder law attorney advises upon:

  • Estate and Trust Administration
  • Incapacity Planning
  • Long-Term Care
  • Special Needs Planning (special/supplemental needs trusts)
  • Conservatorship
  • Asset Protection

Aanestad Law is committed to providing education and programs which assist the senior population. Through our monthly workshops, newsletters, and our website, we share how planning for the future will provide peace of mind for our senior clients as well as their families.

To join in the Elder Law Month Recognition, Aanestad Law will be offering MY 3 FREE on Thursday, May 31st. We will be offering FREE Advanced Healthcare Directives, Living Wills, and HIPAA Authorizations to seniors 65 years and older.”
